Thomas Nicoll
Principal
As a graduate from the Architectural Technology program at Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (N.A.I.T.) in 1979. Thomas worked as a technologist for three reputable firms in Edmonton, Alberta. After fifteen years at these architectural firms he gained the knowledge and experience to establish his own firm known today as Cadd-Abilities Design & Drafting Ltd.
Thomas has cultivated many relationships in the last twenty-five years executing over 2,000 successful projects with Cadd-Abilities. He has earned the trust and respect of his clients and employees with dedication to his work experience, diplomacy and fair mediation. His success in working with community and corporate groups to achieve consensus is widely recognized and leads by example.
Caylan Young
Senior Associate
Caylan graduated from the NAIT Photographic Technology Program in 2005 and the Architectural Technology Program in 2007. She Joined Cadd-Abilities upon graduation and has since become a strong visual leader through her extensive knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, and Sketch Up.
She excels in navigating the visioning process and conceptualization of each of her projects. Her unique skill set allows the office to provide Interior Design services, 3D rendering and presentation boards to our clients. Her art and design skills compliment technical with extensive experience in the production of contract drawings on various commercial and institutional projects. She has high levels of creativity, imagination and vision. She has proven to be a versatile and valued team member.
Christiaan Diedericks
Architectural Technologist
After completing his Advanced Diploma from Fanshawe College in 2016, he joined our team as a technologist.
Christiaan is responsible for the implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and the Digital Construction Procedures at the design, construction and handover stages of a project. This includes identification and resolution of clash detections found during project coordination. Christiaan has a strong skill set in the development of contract documents using REVIT, BIM360 and AutoCad. His progressive thinking enables our company the ability to coordinate and provide synergy solutions for our clients. As a natural leader, he provides guidance to his team and works collaboratively with clients and consultants.

Harmandeep Brar
Architectural Technologist
Harman graduated from the Fanshawe College Architectural Technology program in 2018. He joined our team for an 8 month work co-op and then immediately accepted a full time technologist position upon receiving his Advanced Diploma.
His strength lies in his ability to combine architectural design and drafting expertise with his technical abilities to create innovative, efficient and buildable designs using REVIT, SketchUp, Photoshop and AutoCad.
His responsibilities include conceptual design, 3D renderings, project tender packages and building permit drawings. Driven to push creative limits, Harman; experiments with the latest technology which makes him a dynamic member of our team.
Claudine Mercado
Architectural Technologist
Claudine is a 2018 graduate of the NAIT architectural technology program. She joined our firm after graduation and her progress and growth has exceeded expectations. She is gaining extensive experience in a wide variety of roles and project types. She shows dedication to her projects, her team and her client’s success. Claudine excels at Revit, AutoCAD and Sketchup. She strives to provide continuous improvement and support for our team.
